Let’s face it the chance to love and be loved exists no matter where you are. Most of us can’t see it because we are grieving the loss of our loved one.
Love is – it exists in all forms and is always available for the asking. Now that we don’t have our loved ones we need to be open to understanding that we alone make a whole person. Of course we want our partner and we feel incomplete without them, but and this is a big BUT – you alone must fill yourself with love in your empty, shattered space.
Look around at the children, neighbors, friends and even strangers that are also yearning for someone to notice them, to know that they matter.
If you look around and notice, the possibility to love and be loved is everywhere. If you find it a strain to open your broken heart, start in slowly. Use compassion for a while and feel your heart opening and healing. When you make loving others part of your grieving journey, healing comes easier.
