We often expect a clear and perfect moment for a leap of faith, when the sun and moon are in perfect balance. I wish…. The reality is so much more ordinary. All you have to do is set a date. The leap from your mind to your calendar is the moment of commitment.
Okay, now set a date for any action you can take that will move you towards your goal. And then tell others about your goal and it’s date. The combination of your heart’s desire from within and others pressuring you from the outside will keep you in motion. Nothing like desire and social pressure to help you overcome your fears to take a leap of faith.
Don’t worry about others, most will happily support your decisions. Think back to a leap that proved to be a great decision despite your initial fears. Remember the frightening and yet liberating thrill of it all.
The more leaps of faith you take, the more you’ll find your own way to solve problems when they appear. Than when you crash (and you will) you’ll learn and just keep getting better.
Of course you can play it safe and never take any leaps of faith. But you will still be in the same position years from now – is that what you want?
