Goal Steps for Widows

Goals help us to move forward because they give us something to work towards.  Having goals means that we are not struck in the past.   Goals are us claiming our future and taking control of our lives.  I suggest you get some goal setting books and really work at planning your future.  In the meantime here are some goal setting steps to get you started:

  1. Desire – Know exactly what you want.
  2. Belief – Be absolutely convinced that you can get it.
  3. Write it down – Commit it to paper in great detail.
  4. Determine how the goal will benefit you.
  5. Analyze your starting point.  Assess your life now.
  6. Set a deadline for the goal and work backwards.
  7. Identify the obstacles that stand in your way.
  8. Identify the additional knowledge that you need.
  9. Identify the people you need in your network.
  10. Make a plan for each specific goal.
  11. Get a clear mental picture in your mind of what you want.
  12. Never consider giving up – be persistent.
