Every widow grieves her own way and will come to the point where her healing choice is necessary. The types of healing needed will differ depending upon the widow and her circumstances.
The properties of healing are present in our minds and souls. When we lose someone we love, we are lost. We grieve and wonder if our days will ever be happy again.
The good news is that grieving is progressive and we will start having some good days. We will sense a change from our constant agony and know that at some level our broken heart is healing.
If the ability for our heart to heal was not there, losses in life would pile up and overwhelm us to the point we would lose our minds. With few exceptions, almost everyone is fortunate to have the ability within themselves to heal, rather than to be destroyed by their grief.
As a widow I have not always made the best choices. I have stumbled along through my grief, but I’ve also grown as a person. I don’t know any widow that wouldn’t want her broken heart to heal instantly. But that just isn’t going to happen as there is no quick fix to our grief. I am always here to support and encourage your grief journey, so please join me as you go from grieving to healing.
