Out of Control – When you are running out of control, focus on where you want to go, not where you are currently headed for. Where you put your focus is where you will go; good, bad and ugly. It’s when you are most challenged, when life is most unfair that your character will show its strengths and weaknesses.
Don’t look back, keep focusing on what you want and not what you don’t want. There is no guarantee that you will get what you want, but if you don’t focus on it you are guaranteed not to get it.
The most important things that control your life are three questions:
- What are you going to FOCUS on? Focus equals feelings.
- What does it MEAN? This creates our emotions.
- What are you going to do about it?
Do you focus more on what you have or what is missing? If you only focus on what is missing it will not bring you happiness. If you want to change your life today, make a decision today. What can you do today? Most widows have great intent but lose because they don’t take action.
How are you doing on your dream? It’s your job to do something for it. New dreams are possible at any age. So whatever you want to do, give it a try! At the end of the day, you need to do what you enjoy. We’re all capable of doing a whole lot more than we think we can, and the rest will follow. I’ve learned that amazing things can happen through grief and that how I respond to it decides the quality of my life. Over the years I’ve learned to feel immense gratefulness for the time I did have with my husband.
“Each of us has a personal call to greatness – and because yours is as unique to you as your fingerprint, no one can tell you what it is. Pay attention to what makes you feel energized, connected, stimulated – what gives you your juice.” Oprah
“Now” would be a good time. Wait this minute take immediate action, make a decision. Do something, take a step so that you are no longer out of control. Do something that will improve your life.
Make a decision – use your body to Yell, “YES” and then move. Set up straight, head up and use that power position to control your body and spirit.
Create a quality of life by managing your time. We have to master our emotions, the fear of both success and failure pulls us apart. We all have two wolfs in us – fear and faith. Which wolf do you feed?
