Facebook for The Sisterhood of Widows

posted in: Uncategorized | 2

My Facebook page “The Sisterhood of Widows” is an OPEN Facebook page. I’m the only one who can post there and you can only make comments on my posts. Because it’s an open page anyone can see your comments.

My other Facebook page “The Sisterhood of Widows – Closed Group for Widows” is an CLOSED Facebook page. The difference there is that because it’s a closed group you need to ask to join – no one outside of the group can see your comments – you can make your own posts for more of a relationship with the other widows.

Just wanted you to know – there are two options and if you are a widow, you can join one or both of them.

Take care, Mary Francis

I’ve been widowed for 11 years. I was 58 years old when my husband of 32 lost his 3 year battle with Cancer. I was, diagnosed with a chronic illness in 1998… My husband got diagnosed with Cancer in 2004 and fought for 3 years before losing the battle in 2007.๐Ÿ˜Ÿ We loved each other so much. I took care of him for those 3 years while fighting my illness. The stress, pain and grief are my illness so much worse. Because of the pain I’ve become isolated and I’m finding it harder and harder to leave my house. Nothing is interesting to me anymore…๐Ÿ˜ŸI’m so lonely but in so much constant pain that I don’t want to go out. I suffered from severe depression in my 20s. I’m now almost 70, I have 3 wonderful children and 10 grandchildren. I own my home but it’s very old and I can’t do the repairs and I can’t afford to hire anyone to do it. ๐Ÿ˜ŸI feel stuck, I feel like I’m sinking into that black whole again…My hubby was my life…๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿ’œ

Hi Virginia – I’m sorry about your husband and also your ongoing pain. You state that you have 3 wonderful children and 10 grandchildren – how blessed you are!! Please do just one thing – get a realtor to come and give you a price on your home (old, you can’t do repairs or afford to hire someone). Don’t panic, you aren’t selling it – just looking at your options and you do have them. We all do, take care, Mary Francis
