Forgive – Yes, You Can!

No one is perfect and we are certainly not ourselves when we lose someone we love. When you do make a mistake acknowledge it, but don’t hold onto it for the rest of your life.

If you hurt someone in any way than apologize by acknowledging their feelings. We can ask for their forgiveness but we can’t make others forgive us for the mistakes we made when grieving. If we put ourselves out and yet forgiveness does not come back us, then you just have to let it go.

Also, if the mistake you made hurt yourself than apologize to yourself. Acknowledge that at this time of grieving you’ve been too hard on yourself. Let it go – ask yourself for forgiveness and then move forward.

Sometimes it’s harder to forgive ourselves than to forgive others who have wronged us. But it’s important for your inner peace and tranquility so take out a notebook to write out and answer these questions:

Is my negative self-talk beating me up mentally?

Do I believe that I deserve to be happy?

Am I holding myself back from new friendships or relationships?

Am I settling for whatever life sends my way because I think I’m not worthy?
