For current ways to connect with Mary’s work, you can:
Some widows find peace of mind from a belief in a higher power. When you believe in something more powerful then life and act in accordance with that belief, you tend to feel less helpless and more hopeful.
There is no evidence to suggest that one religion conveys more health protection and mental peace that any other. So, it seems that it really doesn't matter as long as you have faith in the religion of your choice.
Faith can be an antidote to fear, isolation and depression. Faith can be comforting because as long as you have faith in some higher power you are never truly alone.
No one can make you have faith, its a personal choice. Faith is a way of telling yourself that things will get better even when all evidence points to the contrary. Having faith is what keeps you from despair, which can be a breeding ground for depression.
Some widows pray for understanding, forgiveness, for God to fix their lives and help with their broken hearts. Asking God for something is fine, but if you really want to get results, it helps to first give thanks for what He has already been given to you.
Don't worry if when grieving you question your faith or get angry with God. God can handle your anger and your pain, and He will always be there when you are ready.
Happy Easter from my family to yours. Mary Francis
