Chick’s Night Out – The Journey from Grief to Healing

This month of February 2013 we are having a dress up night.  The lady who has the most sparkle and glitter will be crowned winner for the night.

These women were strangers with one thing in common — their husbands have died. They’re now friends and they meet once a month for a pot luck meal, laughter and some fun.

They talk about unwelcome anniversaries, the awkwardness of dating again and all the other challenges. But mostly they do things together for fun.

Being a widow is a teary and depressing disaster but you can get rebalanced with the support and encouragement from other widows.

You start out feeling like a wife without a husband but slowly you come to terms that you are a “widow”.

Chick’s Night Out is simply to live, explore and share together and apart, out there in the world.  The worst had already happened so there is nothing to fear.
